In celebration of the AK100 Anniversary, The Akira Kurosawa’s 100th Birth Anniversary Festival
in Hong Kong will be held in Hong Kong, Island East, Cornwall House, Artis Tree from December 19th,
2009 – January 17th, 2010!
(Opening ceremony will be held on December 18th. *by invitation only)

A film concert of Akira Kurosawa’s films will be held on Janurary 3rd , 2010 at a special stage in ArtisTree. 
A famous conductor from Japan, Tomomi Nishimoto will conduct the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra to
some of the legendary scenes from “RAN” and “Kagemusha”

      
               
                 
         
   
Costumes, props and scripts used in films, posters and private belongings revealed!

There will be a variety of interesting items displayed at each exhibit such as private belongings left
behind by Akira Kurosawa, costumes, props and scripts used in Kurosawa films,a full revival
of the shooting set of "RAN", a calligraphy exhibition by Ryosetsu Imai, who has been writing the titles
of Kurosawa films, and photos of Akira Kurosawa taken by photographer Yoshihiro Tatsuki.
Akira Kurosawa's composition notebook and storyboard drawings also will be displayed.

The exhibition and film screening will be set up at Artis Tree, Hong Kong.
On weekends, film screenings will take place chosen out of the 30 Kurosawa titles,
All people of Hong Kong will be free to watch this grand screening.
